Karen Cathleen Houde's Obituary
Karen C. Houde, born on August 12,1940 in Tacoma Washington. She was the fourth child out of six children of Walter Bennett and Herriot Hughey. Karen also was also blessed to have a twin sister, Kay Catlett. Who she spent may days together until Kay's passing in 2002.
Karen was a generous, kind, caring and reliable woman to those around her. She enjoyed traveling to warm climates, showing family and friends the great Pacific Northwest. A place she always loved and enjoyed. She also cherished her time with her loved ones.
Karen married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Houde, on September 12, 1987. They spent many days taking drives around the state to see new and old things. Unfortunately , they only had nine years married together before his passing in 1996 due to Lung Cancer. Although, their days were short they spent it together memorably.
Karen had two children, Johnny Gean and Sherry Burnett. She had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Being around her children always brought her happiness and joy. They will all miss her greatly.
Karen passed away on April 24, 2015 in Federal Way, Washington. She survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Marvin Burnett. Her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Patti Gean. Karen also lived a great life with the care she received from her daughter, Sherry, and her caregiver, Sandra Lennon. She will be reuniting in Heaven with her husband, Bob Houde and many other family members.
