Kahauloa Cho's Obituary
In reverent reflection, we announce the passing of Kahauloa Shannon John Cho, who at the age of 52, completed his journey through this life on July 5, 2024 at his residence in Olympia, Washington. Born with the warmth of the Hawaiian sun on his shoulders in Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 5, 1972 to Ululani Cho and the late John Cho Jr.
Shannon was a graduate of Konawaena High School in 1990, played with Shut D softball team, and a shop manager for Roy’s Powder Coating in Olympia, WA. Shannon lived a life marked by the traditional values of honor, family, and an unwavering sense of community.
He leaves behind a medley of memories, and a band of beloveds: his wife Lynell Kainoa-Cho; Daughters, Deisha-Lyn Nurial-Dacalio (Cameron) of HI, Alohiu’imakamaekamalani Kainoa-Cho (Tanner) of WA, and Anuhea Kainoa-Cho (Isaiah) of HI; Sons, Carl Simmons Jr. (Lori) of WA, Alexander “Ikaika” Cho (Carly) of OR, and Cyruss Shimamoto-Cho (Cera) of HI; Sisters, Lilinoe Quihano, Kehaulani “K-girl” Kukua-Cho (Adrian), and Jaime-Ann “Jala” Cho-Barauis (Pedro); Hanai brothers, Marvin “Brada” Naihe Jr. (Rhoda), Elton Sniffen, Daniel Sniffen (Chasity), and Jonah Sniffen Sr. (Paulette); Hanai sisters, Lysha (Keone) Kealoha and Chas Freitas; numerous grandchildren, aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Aspen Chapel at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Lakewood, WA 98499 on Sunday August 11, 2024, visitation at 10 a.m. followed by services at 12 p.m.
Shannon's memory will be treasured as his spirit ascends to eternal peace, leaving a legacy of love and strength that will guide his family and friends in this time of sorrow.
