Kaethe Luise Street's Obituary
Kaethe Luise Johanna Street was born July 30, 1924, in Cologne, Germany to Hermann and Angela Tronnier; passed away at age 100 years March 20, 2025.
Kaethe was employed by the Military Army Special Services in Boblingen, Germany as an Interpreter, speaking English, Italian and German fluently. There, she met her future husband, Sergeant John H. Street Sr. John and Kaethe married in 1952 in Nurnberg, Germany. The Military lent itself to wonderful travels from Saint Nazaire France, Fort Carson Colorado until retirement in Washington State at Joint Base Lewis McChord.
Surviving are two children, Joanne Street of San Francisco, CA and John H Street Jr. of Bellevue, WA. Joanne and Kaethe enjoyed traveling together and went on several cruises seeing the Caribbean, South American and Greece. Being an avid gardener, John and Kaethe would have delightful chats about ‘what to plant in Spring.’ Kaethe’s true joy were Early Girl Tomatoes.
Kaethe attained her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Journalism from Evergreen State College in 1992 at age 68. There were many attributes to Kaethe, her love of opera, books, nature and "living a harmonious life."
