June P. (Joringdal) Elliott
June Pauline Elliott, born Nov. 13, 1932, passed away surrounded by family on Dec. 14, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. June was born in Thief River Falls, MN and moved to Midland, WA in 1934. After graduating Lincoln High in 1951, marrying Don Elliott in 1956, they lived in MT, CT, TX, IL, & WA. She worked at Carson Pirie Scott in Peoria, IL and later retired from Auburn High School in WA, where she worked as an aide. In later years, she and Don spent many happy times motor homing in Yuma, AZ, where they belonged to Olympic, Snowbirds and Great American RV Clubs.
June is survived by: husband Donald, three children, Richard, Colleen and husband Tom Hallenbeck, Chris and wife Heather, grandchildren Jeffrey, Mellissa, and Corey Hallenbeck, Kassandra and Kaylee Elliott, June's brother Arnold Joringdal, and her sister Eleanor Stabbert.
Memorial service with reception following will be held Mon., Dec. 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM Jovita Baptist Church: 1120 114th Ave E. Edgewood, WA 98372 (253) 927-2427 Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the American Cancer Society .
