June Irene Hammond was born June 4, 1928 in Stratford, WA to Jonas and Olafina Froistad and passed away July 24, 2016 in Olympia, WA. She worked at Richard's Cafe in Tacoma, WA where she met her second husband Robert "Bob" Hammond. She worked at Northwest Chair in Tacoma, WA. Later she moved to Westport, WA where she worked at Washington Crab Produces.
June love to Crochet, knit, ocean fishing, watching Wheel of Fortune and play blackjack. She loved spending time with family and friends playing cards.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert "Bob" Hammond, 9 brothers and sisters, grandsons, Craig Nelson and Wayne Nelson and extended family Roy Heitmann.
She is survived by sons Elvin (Mary) Nelson, Alan (Linda) Nelson, stepson Larry (Marty) Buckles, stepdaughter, Linda, granddaughters Pauline Perez, Teresa Nelson and Kristina Leopold, and great granddaughters Promise Nelson, Maddison Leopold and Charlotte Leopold, nieces Charlene Knowles and Norma Heitmann. As well as many friends and family.
