I sang in several choirs under June, years ago when we were all in the same stake in Tacoma, (and outlying areas). I can still see her countenance when she directed, and the way she lifted her head upwards a bit. I direct choir now and many many times as I'm directing, I STILL think of how wonderfully June did it, and some of the grand big numbers we used to do, in the good ol' days when choir was the best thing going. Now it seems like we have to struggle to keep a good choir together, with so many diversions in the world. I will NEVER forget June, what she taught me, the example she set, and YES, I am positive that she is already directing Heavenly choirs and helping those there, to learn more of Him, through music! If she had any idea how many of us still love and remember her, I think she'd be surprised. I have beautiful memories of stake conference in the old 4th & L Building, and she just set the stage for many of us, forever. Dear Family,
I feel like a little piece of my heart went to heaven with Great Aunt June. She was my heroine and my mentor and influenced my life in so many ways- especially with music. I am sure the choirs in heaven are singing beautiful music under her direction, or with her accompaniment. She told me once that she loved the hymn "Sweet is the Work" and I remember her every time I sing it or other music that I know she loved. I know she will be missed by many here, but was greeted by many there, especially her sweetheart who she has been away from for so long. My love to all the family.

Dear Family of "Aunt June".
She was a great influence on the Evans family too. Our Karen tells me that she plays cello because "Aunt June" told her she should when Karen was in the fourth grade. She is the one who influenced me to study organ. A great lady, who will be much missed by many. I'm sorry that Bob can't be there to play for her. He would have loved that.
