Julia Godreau Santiago's Obituary
Julia Godreau Santiago was a hardworking Puerto Rican woman who loved and cared deeply for her family. She was an extremely hardworker and fighter who passed away peacefully at the grand age of 100 years old at Madigan Army Medical Center. She was previously married to Castor Luis Santiago 30 years but later widowed after Castor’s untimely death. She never re-married but instead took care for her family and future family until her passing. Julia lived alone in Lakewood since the mid-sixties and worked at Madigan Army Medical Center for AAFES for 46 consecutive years. She retired in 2016 at the age of 96 where she spent the last years of her life enjoying peaceful time with her family. Julia was a people person and had an outstanding sense of humor and a caring personality. Her legacy is carried on by her children (Maria + Jose) and her five grandchildren (Phillip, Jason, Zach, Alexander, Olivia) + great grandchild (Elayna).
