Judy Wells' Obituary
In Loving Memory of Judy Wells
July 11, 1946 – October 4, 2025
On October 4, 2025, we said goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Judy Wells. Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Judy spent her entire life in the city she loved, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of her garden.
Judy was born on July 11, 1946, and graduated from Mount Tahoma High School, where she proudly served as a majorette. In 1972, she met and married the love of her life, Mike Wells, with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing.
Judy was fun, fearless, honest, and fiercely independent. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room and leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warmth, humor, and strength touched countless lives, and her presence was a gift to all who knew her.
Family was the heart of Judy’s world. She cherished her daughters, Cortney and Michelle, and found endless joy in her grandchildren: Brock, Saylor, Irish, Kylie, and Carson. Whether traveling together, cutting down Christmas trees, playing cards, or watching The Amazing Race, Judy created lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
She was also a devoted sister to Roger Iverson and Joan Hurter, and was preceded in death by her husband Mike, her parents Larry and Virginia Iverson, and her brother Larry Iverson Jr.
Judy had a deep love for her home and garden. Her yard was a vibrant reflection of her spirit—bursting with color, carefully tended, and always welcoming. She took great pride in her flowers and worked tirelessly to make her garden a place of peace and beauty.
In her final days, Judy faced her illness with courage and strength, found rest in the arms of her heavenly family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Monday, November 10th at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home.
