Judy Kay Reynolds' Obituary
Mrs. Judy Kay Virden (Reynolds), 77, of Spanaway Washington passed away on January 13, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington.
Judy was born on September 5, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas and spent her youth moving around the country, with her father being in the military. She even spent a few years in Libya, Africa. As a teen, her family moved to Washington State where she met the love of her life, Ed Reynolds, in church. She graduated in 1966 from Bethel High School in Spanaway, married Ed on June 12, 1966, and together they had two sons, James Anthony Reynolds and Jeffrey Andrew Reynolds. Judy was a nurse (Licensed Nurse Practitioner 3) and spent her life serving others. From Western State Hospital to in-home care, Judy helped patients of all ages, sicknesses, and disabilities with the most tender loving care.
She was an exceptional caretaker to her family as well. The chauffeur to any event or doctor’s appointment, the teacher for anything health or home making, the listening ear for any news, good or bad. She was the biggest cheerleader for her children and grandchildren, her happiness was their happiness.
Judy was the most amazing artist. Anything creative, she did it well. She loved to cook and bake, to paint and draw, to sew and crochet, to garden, to dance…she loved music, she loved the ocean, she loved cats. She loved Angels, and God. Most importantly, she loved her family.
Judy Reynolds is survived by her two sons, James, and Jeffrey, six grandchildren, David, Jeffrey, Jordan, Sidney, Kayla, and Mariah, fourteen great-grandchildren, Jakob, Ean, Kailer, Mykel, Peyton, Parker, Ashlyn, Lyric, Dakoda, Silas, Nova, Audrey, Saylor, Royce, and one on the way. She is also survived by her sister, JoAnn, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
