Judy Karon's Obituary
Judy Joy Karon, 87, of University Place, WA, passed away on March 13, 2024. She was a loving mother and grandmother who owned and operated Karon’s Pre-School for 20 years, where she found great joy in teaching young children. Judy had a passion for animals, monarch butterflies, and knitting scarves for the homeless in her later years.
She is survived by her children Joy Broda (Jimm), Jill Karon-Ross (Rob), grandchildren Crystal Komenda (Matt), Cody Komenda (Colleen), and Hanni Hermann (Jordan), as well as three great-grandchildren. Judy is also survived by her sister, Bene Powell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Karon.
A ceremony in honor of Judy will be held at Home of Peace Cemetery in Lakewood, WA on March 18, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Washington State Chapter.
