Judy "Kang Kum Sun" Wasson's Obituary
Judy "Kang Kum Sun" Wasson was born on March 8th, 1940 in Seoul, South Korea. Judy passed away on October 18th, 2011. She married the man of her dreams, Billy Gene Wasson on October 12th, 1962, while he was stationed in Korea. They moved to the United States that same year, spending time in Maryland, Kentucky and finally settling in Washington State in 1979. Judy loved planting flowers and working in her garden. She also loved traveling and took many trips to Hawaii and Korea. She was devoted to serving the Lord and was an amazing wife, mother, and cherished grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Billy Wasson, her sons Jeffrey Wasson (Myung Hee) and Ricky Wasson (Kelly), her grandchildren Abby, Paul, Sophia, and Olivia and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in both Korea and Seattle. Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood on Monday, October 24th at 12:30pm with services following at Tacoma First Baptist Church at 6:00pm.
