Judith “Judy” Anne Woodworth (Fetterolf), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 86 in Tacoma, Washington.
Judy was married to the love of her life, John Woodworth, who preceded her in death, for 65 years. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. She was a devoted mother to her children, Jeff and Jill, and a proud grandmother to Broc, Derek (Kelly), and Peter Woodworth, Taylor (Bailey) Martin and Alex (Jason) Dunfee. Judy also found great joy in her five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness.
Born and raised in Tacoma, Judy graduated from Stadium High School, where she was forever a “proud tiger”!! She attended the University of Washington, where she became a lifelong member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and remained involved as an advisor at the University of Puget Sound with the sorority throughout her life. Judy generously gave her time and energy to her community, volunteering at Tacoma General Hospital, The Tacoma Art Museum, and Point Defiance Zoo. She was an active member of the Junior League and the Lillian Shotwell Orthopedic Guild, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to causes close to her heart.
She especially loved spending time in Arizona, enjoying the sunshine and special moments with her family. Whether she was bowling, laughing, or confidently defeating her grandchildren in her favorite board game Sorry, Judy’s competitive spirit always shone through.
Her kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy’s legacy lived on through the countless memories she created with her family and friends.
A private family gathering will be held in Judy’s honor to commemorate her life.
