Judye Smith's Obituary
Judye was born February 24, 1964 in Selma, Alabama. The family moved to Tacoma in 1967. Judye attended grade school and Wilson High School in Tacoma. She graduated from University of Washington, Tacoma in 2002. She went to work for US Postal service in 2007 following in her Dad’s footsteps.
Judye loved photography and has thousands of pictures. She was the family historian who captured all family gatherings. Judye enjoyed traveling with family and most recently taking a dream vacation in Tampa with her sister.
Judye knew how to pamper herself. She had all her favorite beauty accessories and gadgets in many varieties. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and co-workers. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would have her tree up by Thanksgiving. She would entertain the family with special games and prizes on Christmas day.
Judye just recently had a new home built in Spanaway. It was her dream to design a home from start to finish. She spent many hours picking out all the details for her home. She was able to move into her new home in March 2020. In the 6 months at her new house, she enjoyed having room for everything and having everything in its place. Her signature touch was the “peacock” flower planters in her yard.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Thomas L Robertson. Judye is survived by her son, Christopher Smith; mother, Willie Robertson; sister, Elaine Frazier (Bill Frazier); nephew, Tyler Frazier; uncle, Ezell McClellan; many aunts, uncles and cousins; Kathy Courtois and family.
