Juanita Stevens
of Bremerton
July 16, 1930 TO July 29, 2008
She was born at the Salvation Army Hospital in Spokane, Washington. She married Joseph Franklin Stevens on September 1, 1950, in Lewiston, Idaho at the congregational Presbyterian Church.
She graduated from Normal in 1947. She worked various places in her youth. Then worked in childcare for William and Paula Holliday, Lewiston, Id until her marriage with Joseph Stevens, Union Carbide, Bremerton, Wa; The Bootery, Bremerton, Wa and many years from Coast to Coast Hardware, Grand Coulee, Bremerton and Port Orchard, Wa. She was a life member of the VFW, American Legion Auxillary, active in Rainbow and DeMolay.
She is survived by her husband Joseph of Bremerton, WA, Son Cliff (Anne) Stevens of Bremerton / Or, Daughter Bernice (Jim) Zachau of Poulsbo, son Danny Stevens of Bremerton, Wa. 5 granchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Five brothers Glenn Smith, Spokane, Wa, Vaden Bisbee, Bolivar, Mo, Bob Bisbee Toledo, Wa, Dick Bisbee Glide, Or, and Norman Bisbee Lewiston, Id.
She was proceeded in death by a grandson Mike Stevens,3 brothers, Albert Bisbee of Couer d' Alene, ID, Constant Smith, Lewiston, ID, Lee Smith of Elk, WA, 3 sisters Judy Long, Spokane, Wa and Louise Whittum of Colorado Springs, CO, Geneva Felton, Kamiah, ID.
On July 29th she developed pneumonia, and had other respiratory complications which lead to her passing.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lewiston Firefighters Pipes and Drums; Juanita's grandson, Nick Stevens, is a member of the Lewiston Fire Department
