Juanita Louise Gaines' Obituary
After a courageous three year fight against liver disease, Juanita Louise Gaines went to eternal rest on April 6, 2006, at Baylor Hospital of Dallas, Texas. Juanita (Louise) was a long time resident of Tacoma, Washington and relocated to Ft. Worth, Texas in 1996. She had medically retired from North Hills Hospital where she was employed as a Dietician Technician. Her presence was strong and sometimes feisty; however, she was always a loving and giving person with a quite spirit.Born on June 30, 1944 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Wallace and Essie Bradford. She was the second of seven children, two of whom preceded her in death; Marie Bradford-Baines and Wanda Bradford. Juanita married the late William Watkins Jr. at the age of seventeen. After being widowed for several years, she was united in marriage with John Gaines, later divorced the two still remained very close friends. Her memories will be cherished by her children; Natalie (Dennis) Price of Tacoma, WA. William (Gina) Watkins III of Lewisville TX, Gloria (William) Magee of Euless, TX, Vaughn (Renee) Gaines of Tacoma, WA. Shawn Gaines of Tacoma WA. and Yolonda (Antony) Gaines of Fort Worth, TX. Thirteen grandchildren of Texas and Washington. Her siblings; Nathan (Melody) Bradford, Ethel (Leroy) Bowman, Gloria (James) Wright all of Washington and Bernice Davis of Wisconsin and host of family and friends.Viewing will be from 4:00 Â- 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home, Tacoma, WA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1211 South I Street Tacoma, WA.
