Joyce Williams' Obituary
Joyce Anne (Foster) Williams was born in E Selah, Yakima, WA to Hazel and Charles Foster on Oct 11, 1936. She was raised by her mother, Hazel, and Paul Anderson and had two sisters. She attended school in Yakima and worked as a television personality for KIMA in the 1950’s. Joyce remained in Yakima but would later move to Western Washington after marriage in the 1960’s and the birth of her children, Royal, Sandy, and Melissa. She would raise her family in Tacoma, University Place, WA. Joyce enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with family, and membership with the VFW Auxiliary. She remained in the Tacoma area until her peaceful passing, October 17, 2019. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Paul Anderson; Charles Foster, and siblings, Jean Herald, Patty Wharton, and Timothy Anderson. She is survived by her children, Royal (Robin) Piatt, Sandy (Adam) Sallean, and Melissa Piatt (James Doty) and eight grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Aaron; Zack, Sebastian; Daniel; Kye and Kiara. Memorial service will be held November 02, 2019 at 3P, VFW Auxiliary Department of Washington Headquarters, 5213 Pacific Hwy E, Fife, WA 98424.
