Joyce Olivia Ward's Obituary
Joyce Olivia “Akins” Ward 83, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2015 in Olympia Wa. She was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on December 22, 1931. She moved to Washington State with her family as a young child and grew up in Tacoma. She went to Lincoln High School and worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup until her Retirement. She volunteered her time at the Beacon Senior Center, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family.
Joyce is predeceased by her son Michael Earl Cole and her daughter Joni Lynne Galyean. Joyce is survived by her daughter Lori Anne Webb, 8 grandchildren: Melissa Galyean, Vanessa Galyean, Michael J. Cole, Zechariah Cole, Shannon Webb, Natalie “Webb” Covher, Alexander Webb, Mike Webb and 4 great grandchildren: Cody Galyean, Tayler Galyean, Aiden Webb and Skylar Galyean.
Joyce is predeceased by her brother, Joe Kilby and she is survived by her sisters, Lois Turnbow, June Allmendinger, Susan Schoonrok and her brother Earl Akins.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00/PM at the Mountain View Garden Chapel. Family and friends kindly invited
