Joyce Moe's Obituary
Our beloved Nani passed away July 1, 2010 at home after a long, courageous battle with breast, bone, and lung cancer. She graduated from Stadium High School, and devoted her life to her family and her church. She was a 50-plus year member of Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, where she held several positions: Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader, Chairman of Trustees, and Financial Secretary for 40 years. A Golden Acorn Award recipient, she enjoyed working with PTA and being a Campfire Leader. Sewing, tole painting, ceramics, needlework, and all forms of arts and crafts leave us all beautiful pieces of her work. She loved camping with family and friends, especially at Kalaloch on the ocean. We have wonderful memories to share. Preceded in death by beloved daughter Andrea and husband Jack. Survivors include daughter Claudia (John) Kerr, cherished grandchildren Jon (Shannon) Kerr, Matt (Mary) Crowell, Julie Crowell and Sean Kerr. She so enjoyed her great-grandchildren Kaelin, Marissa and Kassandra Kerr and Andrew and Zackary Crowell. She dearly loved all her nieces and nephews and her wonderful sister-in-law Glenny Moe. The family thanks Dr. Chris Chen and his staff, Dr. Virginia Stowell and her amazing caregiver Oana Wilbur, for all their time, care and encouragement to both Joyce and them. A memorial service will be held at the Mountain View Garden Chapel at 2pm on Saturday, July 10, 2010, with a reception to follow in the Celebration of Life Center. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Assoc. Rest in Peace Nani We Love You.
