Joyce Lucille Peterson Apr. 11, 1931 - Aug. 18, 2009
Joyce passed away at home in Midland, WA after a 15-year battle with cancer. Joyce married her high school sweetheart Donald (Pete) Peterson on June 25, 1949, just after graduation from Lincoln High School. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Joyce enjoyed quilting and belonged to several quilting guilds. She provided many quilts to cancer patients going through chemotherapy. Joyce also leaves behind daughters Linda (Fred) McMahan, Pennie (Lee) Combs, and son Donald (Cindy) Peterson. She had 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Mountain View on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 at 2pm in the Celebration of Life Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank Franciscan Hospice for all their support the last few months.
