She worked in several different fields in her career as an administrative assistant for an Optometrist (Seattle, WA), as a retail clerk at AAFES (McCord AFB), at the Space Needle, and at QFC & Seven Eleven grocery stores.
Joyce had many interests throughout her life. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and placed her faith in Him solely. She often struggled with the grace of God, feeling she didn’t measure up, but knew it was by His Grace she was so loved as the rest of us ragamuffins. One of her favorite movies was ‘Raggamuffin’ (http://ragamuffinthemovie.com/ ) which emphasized this unconditional love of God. She was an avid reader and loved researching topics of interest, especially those that were of a spiritual nature, or those that impacted the average person, our world, and government as it related to our spiritual understanding of the world we live in. She was extremely passionate and when she had a conviction about a topic you would be sure to know what those passions were as she loved sharing her ideas and beliefs with others in hopes she might bring new light to their understanding. She loved researching those topics that interested her, mostly by reading and getting information from the YouTube Channel, or news articles she read, or by digging further into other researchers materials.
Of utmost importance to Joyce, was being a good mother to her son, Vinnie Brassesco. She always had his best interests in mind and would put all other things on hold if it meant providing for her son in a better way. Joyce had a heart of gold and was one of the kindest spirits you could ever know. She was always there to help when the opportunity arose. Joyce had a shy side to her and she stayed to herself a lot but when she got around people she would come out of her shell. She loved to laugh, go on camping trips when she could, or just sit and visit with those she loved and just talk about life’s challenges, both good and bad. She also traveled abroad with family when she could such as Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico. She was an amazing sister, mother and daughter, but mostly a ‘friend’ to many of us.
Our heart’s ache, yet rejoices as we feel some relief knowing she has entered into God's eternal kingdom which we as a family talked about so often, yet could only imagine. See you soon our beautiful Joyce! We have yet another reason to long for that place......and to share the hope that always laid within us all.... the only thing that makes this a little less painful is knowing we will see you again. Your with us every where we go. Watch over us until we meet you there. We all love you and miss you dearly.
You are eternally loved!
