Joyce L. Hughes' Obituary
Joyce L. Hughes, born in Tacoma, Washington on January 25, 1931, passed away September 7, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and daughter, Delrene. She is survived by her husband, Ken, her children– Rick, Christine (Tony), and Dawnise (Don); Ken’s children, Barb (Paul), and Mike (Tona), her sister-in-law, Jean, brother-in-law, Charlie (Joann), 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Joyce grew up in Tacoma and attended Lincoln High School. Throughout her lifetime, she held many jobs including working in food service, nursing, and for the Pierce County Bar Association. Her hobbies included making ceramics, fishing, and playing the slots in Reno. She was a member of the Eagles, and active with the Shriners, along with Ken. She will be remembered for her bright smile, positive attitude, and love of dogs.

Visitation will be held, 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 and 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14th at Mountain View Funeral Home.
Committal graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood.
