Sending prayers and well wishes to you all. Joyce was a second mom to me. I grew up as a teenager and young man with the farmer family. I spent more than half of my from grade school through HighSchool at their home. I went on very memorable trips with them. One of the funnest trips was driving all the way to Minnesota.
The trip through Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and finally Minnesota was one of my most cherished memories. So much beautiful country. When we were driving through Montana Mike and I were sitting in the back of the car when we woke up to screeching and a loud poof ! Mike and I hugged each other and braced thinking the worst. When the car stopped, through the open sunroof came hay floating from the sky. We had hit a hay bail in the road that likely fell off a local Farmers truck. Well a different Farmer that is :)
I remember the first person to say anything was Joyce. She was brushing hay from her hair and laughing historically she said it’s raining hay. Joyce was a wonderful mom and a beautiful person. She will be missed and my prayers go out to Mike and the family.
Love and miss you all. John Bertucci
