Joyce Lorraine Dickinson's Obituary
Joyce L. Dickinson (Lindquist)
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, Joyce passed away to join her husband of 63 years Warren Dickinson. Joyce was born October 8, 1930 in Chatham, Michigan to Knute and Alice (Johnson) Lindquist, previously deceased. Joyce was the second youngest of 10 siblings all previously deceased. She is survived by her son, Rod (Debbie) Dickinson of Spokane, WA, daughter, Diane (John) Trageser of Edgewood, WA, and two grandsons, Kyle and Darrin Trageser.
Joyce, her mother Alice and youngest sister Janice (Jensen) relocated to Puyallup in the mid-1940’s where she graduated from Puyallup High School in 1949. She married Warren on March 25, 1949.
Joyce worked at Fibreboard in Sumner for a little over 10 years until its closure in the early 1970’s. She then worked at the Lerner’s department store in Lakewood Village where she became store manager and eventually worked at the Elvin’s department store in Puyallup.
Joyce would spend her leisure time playing bingo at her favorite spot BJ’s in Fife, but she got the most enjoyment out of her trips to Reno, Las Vegas and the Emerald Queen Casino where she almost always seemed to find the “right” machine.
Joyce will be laid to rest at Woodbine Cemetery. No services at her request.
