Josette Yvonne Brown's Obituary
Josette Yvonne Brown passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep at home on February 27, 2017 of natural causes. Josette was born in Heudreville-sur-Eure, France on December 4, 1942, Daughter of the late Marcel and Fernande Legrand. Josette met and married Joseph J. Brown in France while he was station there serving in the United States Air Force. Josette was also preceded in death by her eldest son Jean Michel Brown and Joseph J. Brown. Josette moved to the United States in 1972 where she has lived in Lakewood, WA for the past 45 years. She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. Above all, she enjoyed having family gatherings with family, extended family and friends. She is survived by her children John F. Brown and Nathalie Brown, granddaughter Janel Cawthra, daughter-in-law Marci Brown and her life partner of 25 years Melvin Stuckey. There will be a celebration of life honoring Josette Friday, March 10th at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA. Graveside service will begin at 1:30 pm with reception to follow.
