Joseph Mark Dessen's Obituary
Joseph "Mark" Dessen has left us and joined his beloved and beautiful wife, Beverly and their son David.EMark endured a long battle with Parkinson's disease, along with a broken heart from the loss of the love of his life, Beverly. He courageously went on with the endless support from his daughter, Anita and son-in-law, Michael, as well as his sister Judy. Mark found comfort from true lifelong friends, Gary and Cindy Peterson and Joe Stortini. Mark was a graduate of Clover Park High School. He was a hard working man, and retired from Pierce County Road Division and Food King. Mark's true passions were traveling to Hawaii and Reno, and enjoying sporting events. A true Seahawk and Husky fan, everyone knew not to show up at Mark's house wearing Cougar gear. Mark and Beverly were Husky season ticket holders and attended many games with Mark's brother Paul.
He is survived by his devoted daughter Anita (Michael), granddaughter Shiban (Paul), and great-grandson Paul, along with his loving brother and sister, Paul (Helen) and Judy, he also leaves behind an aunt, cousins and nieces and nephews that loved him very much.
Mark's life will not be forgotten. Everyone who knew him will cherish their memories. He was a unique person who could make you laugh and his joy of sports was contagious. Mark, we will miss you!
