Joseph Henry FreedÂ"Hank Â- PapaÂ"8/25/1919 Â- 9/18/2003Joseph was born in Jewel City, Kansas on August 25, 1919. He was a Tacoma, WA resident for 50 years.He served in WWII, the Asiatic Pacific, and the European Theaters, including the invasion of Normandy. He was a member of the Elks Club and Masonic Temple in Loveland, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, M. Louise Freed. He is survived by his children, Lynda (John) McKinnon, Larry (Eileen) Freed, Lana (Randy) Parker, Leta (Roger) Heldman; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; Chet and Mildred Russell of Courtland, Kansas; and many friends and relatives. He will be forever cherished in our hearts.Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the Mt. View Garden Chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Foundation, P.O. Box 1502, Tacoma, WA 98401-1502, or to World Vision, 34834 Weyerhaeuser Way, Federal Way, WA 98401.
