Joseph G Frunz's Obituary
Joseph G. Frunz was born on April, 22, 1929 in Berthold, North Dakota. He was the fifth of six children born to Ellen and John Frunz. Joe married his beloved Viola Jean Frunz in 1953 and they celebrated over 65 years of marriage and family. Joe joins Viola in heaven.
Just as Viola, Joe was the last of his siblings to pass. He leaves behind a line of strong-hearted children, Rodney, Jerry, Suzie, Mary Jo, and Robbie and grandchildren Lisa, Nancy, Robbie, Shelly, Kristy, Stacie, Randy, Jamie and Amy and an army of great grandchildren.
Joe had a lot of spunk, a strong handshake, and a kind heart. He would bring bread and goodies to the church and his family, especially the children. Joe was proud to serve his nation at the end WWII in the Navy and the Korean War in the Air Force.
Joe served his fellowship at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for over 49 years. He always helped those in need and served many meals at the church during his day.
In his final days, Joe was surrounded by family and loved ones. As he was always there for his children and family, in the end they were there for him. He was in great spirits and the grandchildren and great grandchildren brightened his eyes. Joe passed peacefully as the snow fell on February 10th, 2019.
