Ted Morris
Joe was my commanding officer at McChord AFB in the mid-80s, and as he was one of the people employed for their brilliance, instead of their physical skills, he had to fly with an Instructor Pilot whenever he went on missions in C-141s. I was the IP selected to fly with him several times, and we had great trips that I'll remember always. Sorry I didn't hear about his passing earlier. I know losing Faye was heartbreaking and after she passed, his letters became less and less frequent, and then, not at all. Knowing Joe, he would have spent that time with the people who matter - our families - rather than old airport bums - He always seemed to make the right decisions! Tailwinds for you Joe, always.
