Josefina Quimosing's Obituary
Josefina Macadangdang Quimosing , a beacon of love, faith, hope, loyalty, patience, elegance and grace. Graced this world with her presence for 86 years. She’s a testament to life well-lived, and a profound love for her family. On January 13th at 11:21 pm she passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come. Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on the 10th of August 1938, eldest of ten children, of Rufino Macadangdang and Gregoria Asuncion.
Attended Elementary School in Lasam, high school in St Catherine Academy in Gattaran, Cagayan Valley and graduated in Laoag City as stenographer, where she landed a job at the City Hall.
Being a mother, she did not stop from learning & eventually helped in supporting our needs in our everyday lives. She went to school for dress making and baking at Ramon Magsaysay Night School.
Sefing was married to Judge Sofronio Quimosing, a Judicial Supervisor of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. (Preceded her life on March 2005) Mom was his sole caregiver for 4 years.
Survived by her children, Jesus (Violeta), Estelita, (Caesar), Cesar (Marivic), Sol, Nance (Don) & Digna . Two children preceded her death, Sonia & Esteban). Survived by her grandchildren, Michelle (Mike), Margaret, Melvyn, Mariel (Vince), Christine (Michael), Catherine (Ardon), Marvin (Rissa), Kevin, Nikko (Nica), Lance (Megan) and her great grandchildren Patricia, Andrea, Isabelle, Isaac, Mia, Roman, Geneva, Xavier, Julius, Ezra, Siran, Lilou, Luke, Jericho & Sophia. She worked as a quality control inspector for 15 years in Item House that supplies coats & jackets for Nordstrom. She lived & enjoyed her old age with friends, visiting places around the world through pilgrimages, volunteering at senior meal site of the Catholic Community Services, dedicated her time in supporting the KWA and The Fil-Am League of Pierce County, where she became the Miss Kalayaan 2007 & Mrs. Fil-Am League 2012-2013. She also loved singing praises to our Lord as being a choir member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish & most of all Simbang Gabi Pierce Deanery Choir where we had the opportunity to sing during the Commissioning for two years 2014 & 2015 at St. James Cathedral. As we remember Josie, we celebrate her well-lived life, a love well-shared, a faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ, a loving mother, a supportive sister, a loyal friend, a gracious soul and will forever live in our hearts.
