Jose J. Manalisay's Obituary
Jose J. Manalisay was born in Merizo, Guam on March 11, 1941. Joe was called to heaven on Saturday Oct. 21, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joe joined the US Army as a young man and served 22 adventurous years, of which included serving in the Vietnam War. After becoming a retired veteran, Joe kept himself busy with odd jobs until he found his ideal work cooking for others in a local senior residence care home. He loved it, and they loved him.
Joe was also active with the American Legion, Guam Club of the State of Washington and many other organizations. He enjoyed cooking for these members also. No one leaves hungry under his watch.
He will be truly missed by his wife June, daughters Cheryl and Christina, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Joe will be on November 6th, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Aspen Chapel followed by a reception.
