Jose was born in Waialua, Kauai, Hawaii on July 28, 1925. He passed away on December 1, 2008. As a member of the Armed Forces, he served his country proudly in the south Pacific, Korea, and Vietnam.
After his retirement, he devoted himself to his beloved family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria Theresia, daughter Helga Thomas, son Mark Anthony Paras, grandchildren Michelle Thomas, Kari Murk, Dena Snow and Derrick Paras, as well as his great-grandchildren Khamoan Wesson, Trevor and Kevin Snow. Jose also leaves behind his one surviving sibling Trinidad Ambrosio and her family of Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii.
Private family service, with full military honor guard, will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery.
