Jordyn Rose Coleman's Obituary
Jordyn Rose Coleman (24) peacefully passed away on Friday December 11th, 2020 due to the long-term impacts of Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) and Epilepsy. Jordyn did not lose the fight against this rare untreatable terminal disease, rather she lived filled with hope, grace, love and she is an inspiration to all.
In the words of her mother, Arica Valona; “She was and will always be, my best thing. She inspired each of us to be better, do better and always with a smile. She is our Christmas Angel. Fly sweet girl and dance to your heart’s content in your new body.”
We are comforted that Jordyn is now reunited with her best friend and grandmother (the late) Sharon Coleman.
We will always remember Jordyn’s love for: fashion, flamingos, shopping and Starbucks. Jordyn loved to connect through social media, texts, calls and FaceTime. She enjoined worshiping with her friends at Fox Island Alliance Church.
She will be missed by many including:
Her Parents- Andrew and Arica Valona (Coleman)
Brothers- Gabe, Adrian & Jesse Valona
Grandparents- Doug Coleman & (late) Sharon Coleman
Grandparents- Sal & Laura Valona
Including all the aunts, uncles, cousins as well as countless friends around the world who she considered family.
Our family is eternally grateful for Family First Adult Family Homes and the care they have provided for Jordyn over this past year.
We are thankful for all the continued support from: MultiCare Hospice, Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One- Station Number 59, Fox Island Alliance Church, IFOPA along with all the family, friends, medical professionals, and everyone who has had an impact on Jordyn’s time with us.

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in the that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
Jordyn Rose Coleman “Forever in our Hearts”
