Jonathan J. "Jon" Vivar's Obituary
Jonathan “Jon” Joseph Vivar, 35, devoted son, brother, husband, uncle and friend was born on July 8, 1980 in Tacoma, Washington, passed on Sunday, March 20, 2016.
Jon was greeted in heaven by his father, Jaime, Cousin Christine and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Marie, sister Joy, brother-in-law Michael, Grandmother Purificacion, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephew and nieces: Jeffrey, Sydney and Katelyn, life-long friend Martha, and many family and close friends here and throughout the world.
Jon had an infectious smile and a passion for sports. He loved playing all sports, including golf, softball and pool, which he was affiliated with many teams. A die-hard Seahawks fan, and Subaru enthusiast; Jon was an ambitious lover of life; he enjoyed travelling, hiking and photography. Jon’s life was filled with many professional accomplishments. He loved his family and his friends, was loyal and unselfish, and he touched many lives with his generosity and willingness to help whomever and however he could. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home. Rosaries will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday and 4:00 PM on Sunday.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parrish on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00AM. Rosary begins at 10:00 AM. Following services, there will be a gathering of family and friends in the Celebration of Life Center reception rooms at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
The Vivar Family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Society. In addition, a gofundme.com account has also been created to assist the family with funeral expenses.
