Jona Eillim Faye Williams' Obituary
Jona Eillim Faye Williams was joyfully welcomed into this world at 1:06pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Madigan Army Medical Center on Fort Lewis, Washington. She was a tiny but mighty 1 pound, 14 ounces at 26.5 weeks gestation. Eight hours and ten minutes later at 9:16pm, she was lovingly called home to rest in the arms of Jesus.
Sweet Baby Jona is the beloved, cherished daughter of her courageous and loving parents Sergeant Robert “Will” and Erin Williams of Puyallup, WA. She is the little sister of her compassionate big brother, Stadler Trebor Riker Williams, 19 months. Baby Jona is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Danny and Karen Williams of Puyallup, WA and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Jennifer Stadler of Mesa, AZ, as well as aunts and uncles, including Michael and Kimberly Riley, Jeffrey and Crystal Fry, Bradlee and Shannon Flahart, and Kellen Stadler. Baby Jona also leaves behind cousins Bradyn, Madelyn and Gavyn Flahart, Ava and Alex Fry, and numerous close family friends within the military community.
She was greeted in heaven by many beloved Angel Baby brothers and sisters.
Although Baby Jona was only on this earth for a few short hours, she is more loved and impacted those around her in greater ways than most people do in a lifetime of many decades.
Jona’s song is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. During her time between the moment God formed her and her birth, she was fondly known as “Baby Bubbles.” Our great and painful loss is very much heaven’s gain. Jona is such a blessing in our lives and will be held tightly in our hearts until we too are called Home to reunite with her and Christ in heaven and can again hold her in our arms.
Jona’s parents Will and Erin would like to thank the compassionate and dedicated doctors, nurses and staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Labor and Delivery department and OB/GYN department at Madigan for their efforts and insight to care for Jona and their family.
We will honor and acknowledge Jona’s precious life and legacy on Saturday, June 18th at 1pm at Lighthouse Christian Center in Puyallup, WA.
In lieu of flowers, we request you consider making a donation to March for Babies in Jona’s honor. (www.MarchForBabies.org)
