Johnnie Mae Sledge, also known as Nannie, entered this life on 12 June, 1931 in Warrior, Alabama when she was born to the late Ottoman and Bessie Daugherty. Johnnie Mae entered life eternal on January 18, 2007.Johnnie was a long-time resident of Tacoma, Washington, having moved here from Louisville, Kentucky with her late husband, Lonnie E. Sledge. Her passion was teaching and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Nannie was a humble and proud servant. She is survived by brother, Orange Albert Daniels of Louisville, Kentucky; a mother of four: the late Betty Marie Weaver of Tacoma, WA; Jerry Sledge of DuPont, WA; Dorothy Vaughn of Atlanta, Georgia; Lois Hayward of Puyallup, WA; and daughter-in-law Evelyn Sledge of DuPont and two son-in-laws, Herman Vaughn and Robert Hayward; grandchildren Anastasia, Andy, Bobby, Daniella, Darius, Derek, DiDi, Dujuanya, Harold, Herman Jr., Jondria, Jonathan, Othello, and Sophia; and many great-grandchildren.Johnnie Mae Sledge (Nannie), will be truly missed. God blessed us with a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. AMEN.
