Johnnie M. Berring's Obituary
Johnnie Mae Berring
Age 78 of Tacoma departed February 12th, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born October 13th, 1931 in Albany Georgia. She settled in Washington State in 1964 with her husband and six children. She is preceded in death by her daughter Kim Kouassi. She attended TCC, PLU, and received her teaching degree from Central Washington University. She taught second and third grade at Stanley and Lister Elementary Schools for 30 years and retired in June of 1995. She has been actively involved in church since1964. She was a long time member of St. John Baptist and currently a member of Champion Center Church.
She is survived by her children Harold Berring, Linda Berring, Wanda Berring, Beverly Bell, and Kelvin Berring all of Tacoma; Sisters Versie Dumas-Frazier, Betty Covin, Ruthell Banniater, all of Albany, Wilma Collins of Sylvester; Evelyn Davis of Brooklyn, NY; also Uncle, H.K. Benton of Bainbridge; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held at Mt. View Funeral Home on Friday February 27th from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

Followed by graveside service at Mt. View Memorial Park, followed by reception, also at Mt. View Funeral Home.
