John W. Werle's Obituary
In loving memory of, John W. Werle, age 90, of Lakewood, Washington. Born on April 14, 1925 in Black Diamond, Washington to the late Phillip and Helen Werle. He passed quietly among family on September 5, 2015.
John served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. San Jacinto. He joined the United States Army in 1950 and served in Korea, Japan, France and Germany. In 1971 he returned to the United States and retired from military service.
John was married to Alta May Thew, who bore him a son, she passed in 1979. He eventually remarried Mary Ione Caswell who provided him with great love and comfort until her passing in 2009.
He is survived by; Sister Virginia M. Denison; son John P. Werle; Daughter in-law Cynthia L. Werle; grandchildren Lisa and Jason and great-grandson J.T.
A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 10:00AM. At, Manitou Park Presbyterian Church; 6613 S Cheyenne St, Tacoma, WA 98409.
