John was on the CPSD board when I was elected. I had no idea of what I was in for but John took me under his wing and helped me. He was so kind and fair and gave me some of the best boardmanship lessons that I ever received. I loved his sense of humor, his passion for doing the right thing--even if it wasn't the popular thing to do. He taught me that it was for the kids.
