I discovered right away that John's sometimes-grumpy exterior was a cover for a soft, generous, sweet heart! He shared with me many memories and stories of his life and family, cherished old photographs, fourth-of-July tomato plant starts, goose beans, bonsai secrets, bouquets of mini roses, and his beautiful wood carvings. I shared with him zuchinni from my garden, elk steak and jerky, my husband's hunting and fishing stories, and recipes for parsnips --- not too many people appreciate such things, but John sure did! I am very grateful to have known John and for all that we shared. I wish for his family and friends comfort and joy in the many wonderful memories and momentos of John's life. He certainly didn't leave the world or any life he touched unchanged! Happy trails, John!##imported-begin##Gina Harper##imported-end##
