I met Jack after Nalley's/Curtice-Burns had purchased Lucca Packing from National Can in 1981. I had the pleasure of working with Jack on two three year union contracts on behalf of Lucca/Nalley's. I'll always remember his artistry in discussing individual issues and never being intimidated to back off from his poisition. While it was always a time a frustration for me personally, Jack just glowed in the playing out of issues surrounding the contract.
My wife Cathy and I will never forget his politemenss and genuine courtises extended during his visists. Upon hearing of Jack's passing, Cathy recalled a dinner we had many years ago at the SF Airport Marriot; Cathy was so impressed by Jack's politness, that she still reminds me occassionally of Jack's impeccable manners.
We will all miss Jack, but grateful that our paths crossed and we had the opportunity to know and work with him.
Peace and comfort for Jack's family,
Jack and Cathy Stanghellini##imported-begin##Jack Stanghellini##imported-end##
