John NametDec. 28, 1927 - Dec. 28, 2003John passed away peacefully Sunday morning in his sleep ending a long battle with AlzheimerÂ's. He is now joyfully reunited with his beloved wife Anne who preceded him 17 years ago.In his lifetime he was a WWII vet and owner of a nightclub called the Cadillac Club in New Jersey. He moved his family to Tacoma in 1960 where he entered the lumber industry. He worked at St. Regis for many years in Tacoma then moved to Montesano where he worked and retired from Simpson Lumber Co. in 1985.One of the highlights of his life was to explore the Puget Sound waters with Anne and fish for salmon. He was an excellent carpenter and craftsman, in fact there was nothing the John couldnÂ't fix or build.Survived by two daughters, Nancy Groves and Judy Namet, son-in-law Mel Groves, and sister Jeannie DeLellis of Yardley, PA.The daughters would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heartwood Extended Care, for their loving care and support.Memorial donations may be to the AlzheimerÂ's Association (12721 30th Ave. NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125), as no memorial services will be held.
