John Nali passed away peacefully on Dec 1, 2015, at the age of 95. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII and the U.S. Army during the Korean Way; several tours of duty in Europe and the Philippines before retiring May 1, 1965 at Fr. Lewis, Washington. For the past five years, John, a disabled Veteran, resided at the Washington Soldiers Home in Orting, WA.
John was born 11/15/1920 to Ludvig & Telia (Deckard) Nali in Canton, S.D., the third of eight siblings. He married Ruby Mae Jerde Dec. 13, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Washington State in 1948 where they raised two sons and a daughter. Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruby in 2006, and eldest son, Ralph in 2003. Survived by daughter, Beverly & Don Lake of Anacortes, WA and son Robert & Kathy Nali of Tacoma, WA, 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and his sister, Thelma Joseph of NM.
Private family services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home.
