John L. McAfee Sr.'s Obituary
John L McAfee Sr., of Tacoma, WA passed away November 8, 2020 peacefully in his home.
John was born on December 10, 1944 to the late Westley McAfee and Ella Lee Herron in Clarksdale, Mississippi. After attending grade school he enlisted in the Unites States Army at age 19. Over his 32 years of military service, John proudly served in the US Army, Army National Guard of KY, Army Reserve, Air National Guard of WA, and two Vietnam tours. He retired as a Master Sargent in the Unites States Air National Guard and received three decoration award medals during his long career. John’s hobbies were gardening, bowling and telling stories about his time in the military.
In addition to his parents and four siblings (Willie, Joe, Eddie, and Lula McAfee) John was also preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Lorene McAfee. He is survived by: one sister Hattie Major of Kansas City, Kansas, sons: Ronnie McAfee of Kansas City, Kansas, Anthony Conway of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Dominique McAfee of Citrus Height, California, Robert McAfee (Motisola) of Tacoma, WA, John L. McAfee Jr. “Johnny” of Tacoma, WA. Daughter, Nicole Montgomery (Gerald) of Louisville, KY Stepchildren: Tessa Holmes (Daryl) of Tacoma WA, Donald Bolden of Tacoma, WA, Derrick Bolden of Tacoma WA, Quinn Carter of Tacoma, WA, Eric Bolden (Lina) preceded in death of Tacoma, WA and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
