John MacDermouth Mullen's Obituary
John MacDermouth Mullen, 81 passed away peacefully on September 25, 2002 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fortuna, ND. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He retired from the Federal Civil Services in July of 1984. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, golfing, playing with his grandchildren and was an avid sports fan. He was a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge.He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Charlotte Jewell Mullen, daughter Patty Jo Maricle and son Steven Mullen, 7 step children, 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Agnes Hoaglund and Loretta Fuchs. He was preceded in death by his first wife Emily (Mayme) Mullen of 35 years and his sisters Edna Carrier and Amy Mullen.A Rosary will be recited Sunday, September 29, 2002 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday September 30, 2002, at 11 AM , Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N. 44th St., Tacoma. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park.
