John Lorenz departed peacefully into the arms our Lord Jesus on June 21, 2006, at age 89. He was born on August 25, 1916 in Zap, North Dakota, one of 19 children. At the age of 18 John traveled to Washington State and joined the Army in 1941, serving in World War II. In 1945 he met and married his life long love of 61 years, Louise. Together they built a home and life which included 3 children: James (Rosie) Lorenz, Linda Lorenz-Ridge, and Kathy (John) Buker. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: James (Stephanie) Ridge, Kristy (Fred) King, Jennifer Ridge, Lisa (Casey) Holt, and 2 great-grandchildren: Jailie and Kyle Ridge.
