John and I began our careers at Industrial Conference Board before the company merged with Washington Employers. Over those 30 years, I had the privilege of growing up with and watching John build the kind of leadership tenets that seasoned leaders still talk about today. We all admired John. As long time friends, Kevin and I have indelible memories of John's soft and caring heart for people, his quick wit and all the fun times we spent together. John and I were co-workers at Washington Employers Inc. We shared a special bond since we both went through cancer treatment during the same period of time. John had such a special attitude and made me laugh when he came to my office one day with photographs of his brain tumor. We could count on him to pick up "seconds" fortune cookies in China Town. What a treat. He made the best lemon bars around. I consider John a friend, a colleague and most of all a very special person whose path crossed with mine. John was a kind, genuine loving husband, father and friend. You could learn a lot being around John. He had many talents and passions that he was eager to share with others. My condolences - tho those words don't begin to describe the loss to John's family, and those who have known and loved him. I can't begin to know what you are feeling, but know my thoughts are with you.

I am truly blessed to have known John for the many years at work and after, but more importantly, I am truly blessed to have known John.

I thank Susan and Bob and Angela and all those he has touched for making him the person I know and respect.

Truly a very special person - John, I will fight on for the cure; I am devastated we couldn't make it happen in time, but I will fight on - we bantered back and forth, but neither one of us has been able to make it happen.

What a wonderful and fun Uncle....I have some memories that I will treasure, like introducing mom, Joyce(his sister) and I to the coen brothes.... Lyle Lovett.... And regrets that I dont have more...I know our family will forever have an empty place as will his many friends.... Dear Susan, Angela and Bob,

We have enjoyed so many good times with John and Susan as a foursome and, of course, John and Bill were close and devoted friends for nearly three decades.
