John Richard Kendrick's Obituary
John Richard Kendrick, age 67 was born in Tonasket, Washington on November 9, 1951. John lost his fight for life on May 5, 2019 surrounded by his daughter and grand kids in Tacoma, Washington.
John was a die hard Seahawks fan, he loved to watch every game. He also loved his Seattle Mariners. In his younger days he loved to BBQ with family including his good friends Lupe Pena, and Bill Tapio who he now joins in heaven, and his surviving friend Raul Marroquin. The Andy Griffith show was probably his favorite; you could hear it coming from his bedroom at 3:00 AM loud and clear. His real passion was his only child Sonya and his grand kids Jessica, Jesus and Juliun.
John is survived by former wife Shirley Squires(Federal Way) who cared for John a lot through the last 10 years, going with him to all his doctors appointments and helped care for him when he was diagnosed with cancer but soon went into remission. Also survived by his Daughter Sonya Kendrick and her husband Jesus of Federal Way, WA; his Granddaughter Jessica (husband Jamal York) of Federal Way; Grandson's Jesus Venegas (Samantha) and Juliun Venegas both of Federal Way; one Sister Jody (husband Pat) Smith of Leavenworth, WA; One brother Michael Robertson, (California) and many more loving family members and friends.
John joins his mom Bonnie Robertson, Father Thomas Kendrick and one Brother Terry Robertson.
Johns family would love to give special thanks to St. Joseph Medical Center Tacoma staff who made this transition a little easier, second floor staff were so wonderful, but most of all Pat and Jody Smith. We love you dad, see you on the flip side...or as his grand kids would say "bye Grampy."
A celebration of life will be for a later date in Moses Lake, WA.
