John T. Johnson's Obituary
John Tom "Johnnie" Johnson, passed away on April 12, 2013. He is reunited with the love of his life, Marjorie Marie "Mamo" just six days before what would be their 69th wedding anniversary. He was known for always being early.
John was born in Tacoma, February 12, 1923 to Rose and Tom. He graduated from Lincoln High School, worked at Harmon Mattress factory, and served our country in two wars as a Mineman in the US Navy. His career job was at Pacific Northwest Bell. He was a member of the American Legion and in his days enjoyed dancing and playing cards. He loved a good steak, a good joke, a good book AND an excellent Scotch.
He will be remembered for being there for his family and his lighthearted look on life. "That's the way it goes moving West" He is survived by his daughter Gaige (Buddy) Williams, his granddaughter Regina (Dan) Gorden, great-grandchildren Madison, Sienna and Joriah.
There will be a graveside service Sunday, April 28th, 2013, at Mountainview 10:30 AM, and a family-hosted reception following. We are really going to miss our Papa!
