Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family John was one of a kind. We will remember him always especially in his white hat prior to the SP berets. We served together at Spangdahlem AB.

John Conley was a man who came across as being gruff, loud, and occasionally obnoxious. In reality that's exactly the way he was, but you know what? The troops loved him. You never could fool the troops Chief, you big old softie!

John, I'm glad that you, Marty Kapsh, Bob Keating and I got to visit during the recent Security Police competition with Col. Huntsinger. I'll always remember the dedication to the police field that you have displayed over the years. Keep your head down! Our prayers are with your family. I was very sad to learn that John had passed on, but also feel joy in having known him. I have been aquainted with John for many years, while working at the Port Of Tacoma. I recall fondly seeing him riding to work on his honda, then later driving by in his security car. He seemed to always have time to share a few good words with everyone. Ride the wind John. My deepest sympathy to his family.##imported-begin##Bill Bates##imported-end##
Big John, I really don't have the words. Thank you so much for the unceasing acts of kindness you showed us over the years. You will be missed more than you can imagine. Also, thank you for your many years defending our country in the USAF. See you again, someday.##imported-begin##Shep Clarke##imported-end##
John was a unique man and a friend to many police officers in Tacoma. John rolled out the red carpet for his friends at TPD and always welcomed us at the Port office. All the officers in our squad thought the world of him and will miss him greatly.##imported-begin##Erik Timothy##imported-end##
