John Howard Anderson's Obituary
John Howard Anderson passed to be with his Lord on Sept. 4, 2010. John was born on March 14, 1918 in Dupont, Washington. He took Virginia (Jimmy) as his loving bride on July 24, 1948. He was proud to serve his country as a radio operator in WWII. Retiring from war, he began a career as a heat and frost insulator at which time he joined Local Union 7. John enjoyed his home and spent many hours keeping it shipshape. It was his castle and many remember him as the man with the Ho-Ho-Ho on his home every holiday season. He grew a Victory garden, just as his father did and shared his bountiful harvest with family, friends and strangers. Many remember his posted request "Take some, leave some, enjoy" which revealed his generous heart. He is survived by daughters Becky Johnson (Dave), Paula Williams, grandchildren Justin Williams (Maritsa), Molly Nyberg (Joshua), Cherise Glass (Craig), Grant Johnson and Philip Johnson and great grandchildren Parker, Isabel, Trevon and Miley. His Memorial service will be held on Sept. 16, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Celebration of Life Center at Mt. View Cemetery in Tacoma.
